Thank you for your interest in the Rome (Italy) edition of TAFMUN Conference. It will hold from the 3rd to 6th of December (4 days).
Some information for the conference are provided here below.
Acceptance to conference will be on a rolling basis; 1st come, 1st served until all delegate spaces are taken up.
Bona Fide undergraduate, post graduate, Sixth Form (A’ Level) students are welcome from all over the world.
A letter from Dean of Faculty / or Dean of Student Affairs of your university / institution will be required at some point.
We may give preference to Same-Group University student delegations (Maximum of 6 delegates per institution). Group Faculty Advisor to contact us if more than 6 students indicate interest from your institution.
Individual delegates with ModelUN experience may be given priority.
TAFMUN Conference fee is $95 per delegate.
Conference fee DOES NOT cover accommodation and flight / transport fares.
Conference fee payment will be made through international wire transfer. Bank details will be sent as we receive online registrations.
Our organization will not be directly involved in accommodation logistics and international flight bookings / reservations for any group or individual.
A list of nearby hotels to the conference venue will be provided. Delegates will engage the hotels directly / independent of our organization.
However, we have engaged the services of a reputable Tourism Agency to cater for logistics needs for delegates participating in the conference from Africa.
The agency will provide comprehensive assistance, including visa facilitation, flight bookings, airport pickups and drop offs (especially for Group delegations) and accommodation arrangements conveniently located near the conference venue.
Additionally, the agency will offer curated tours to explore the city of Rome, ensuring that delegates have a memorable experience beyond the conference.
Delegates who require visas to Italy should have passports with validity till at least June 2025. Those applying for new passports (first time or renewal) should have one before 1st of September. You will be required to apply and appear in person for visa interview at the Italian Embassy in your country of residence.

Article 1: Refunds
Participants may demand a refund within 15 calendar days of the payment of all fees. Such demands must be addressed to [email protected] and captioned “REFUND” in the subject of the mail.
Any refunds exclude 20% of conference fee.
Exceptions as per Article 7 apply.
Article 2: Conditions of access
Access to TAFMUN 2024 is open under certain conditions, defined according to the role of the participant.
The participant can choose a role between:
Delegate: during the conference they must be a university-level / Sixth Form (A’ Level) student.
Faculty Advisor: the faculty advisor is an adult accompanying a delegation of students as an academic supervisor
They are allowed to attend the debates in the committees in which their delegates are participating
Faculty advisors are not allowed to participate in socials
Article 3: Country Assignments
Each delegate will be assigned a country by the conference organizer.
Article 4: Conference schedule
The conference will be held from Tuesday 3rd – Friday 6th December.
The days will be punctuated by debates regulated by rules of procedures that will be communicated to the participants before the conference.
Article 5: Participant commitment
By applying to TAFMUN 2024, the participant commits to:
preparing the debates, by writing and sending its position paper on time, and preparing its opening speech (for delegates);
being present on the days of the conference;
being respectful towards others, respect the conference venue and not impede on the property of others;
observing and abiding by all posted rules and warnings, and further following any oral instructions or direction given by the TAFMUN team within reason;
paying for all damages they may cause by potentially being negligent, reckless, intoxicated or any other willful action that may directly result in damages.
Article 6: Risks and insurance
The participant fully understands that certain risks are inherent in travel and the other activities in which they are going to participate in this conference, and they fully accept those risks, noting that neither the TAFMUN team nor the host venue are responsible for any harm that might occur.
The participant understands and agrees that neither the TAFMUN team nor the host venue provide insurance to cover expenses for damage to their personal property and that the TAFMUN team and host venue strongly recommend that they carry their own health, medical and property insurance for purposes of potential losses related to this conference.
The participant fully releases and discharges the TAFMUN team and host venue and its employees, officers, and agents from all liability in connection with their participation in this conference.
Article 7: Personal information of participants
The participant understands and accepts:
that the TAFMUN 2024 team may access, store and use the information they provide with their application at www.tafmun.org for the purpose of organizing TAFMUN 2024;
that any non-valid or untrue information they input during their application at www.tafmun.org may result in them getting rejected from participating in TAFMUN 2024 without being eligible to any refund;
that the TAFMUN 2024 team might be legally required by local or national authorities to share certain pieces of information, for example but not limited to the visa application process.
Article 8: The conference packages
In the delegate and head-delegate fees are included:
access to the conference;
goodies and conference material;
coffee breaks
possibility of one meal a day from the second to the last day is being considered. Provision of a meal is subject to confirmation prior to commencement of conference.

Both parties agree that in case of dispute, Italian law will prevail.
The participant agrees and acknowledges that they are under no pressure or duress to sign this Agreement and that they have been given a reasonable opportunity to review
